Art Collaborations
Not all the pieces in our shop are signed by our founders. At 1988 Cultivating Spaces, we hold a deep appreciation for art, particularly abstract pieces, and their ability to elevate interiors. Finding affordable, high-quality art can be challenging, which is why we’ve chosen to collaborate with emerging artists for our wall pieces. This allows us to offer unique, captivating works that are both accessible and original. Through these collaborations, we’re able to bring fresh, artistic expression into our designs while supporting new talent and ensuring each space is enriched with creativity and culture.
Giulian Dumitriu
Hailing from a family of Romanian artists, Giulian Dumitriu has embraced art since early childhood. Initially focusing on sculpture, he transformed wood, metal, and stone into captivating works showcased in Milan, Amsterdam, Paris, and Toronto. Recently, Giulian has redirected his creative energy toward painting, producing a limited series of art pieces for 1988 Cultivating Spaces.
Ioana Robu
Ioana Robu is a Romania-based artist who explores forms through the interplay of lines. Fascinated by the elegance of geometric shapes, she is renowned for her distinctive geometric compositions.
